Last weekend I went to WECANDANCE - a dance festival on the beach with a focus on fashion and food. I went last year, loved it, and when I heard the theme this year was 'desert dreams' I just had to go! I love dressing up and I couldn't pass on wearing my culture with pride!

Pants - H&M

Crop Top - New Look

Caftan - vintage (from my aunt)

Jewelry - I don't remember? probably some H&M, ASOS & small jewelry stores

Since I was going for the "badass desert princess" vibes I chose to put on a lot of eyeliner for an intense arabic look, gold eyeshadow & glitter, a lot of highlighter & bronzer and a dark purple-grey lipstick.

Lips - NYX liquid suede (foul mouth)

Eyes - NYX loose gold glitter, NYX metallics palette, Urban Decay Naked Basics, Loreal Telescopic mascara, Chanel waterproof eyeliner

What do you think?

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to collab with YSL. For the 25th anniversary of the legendary touche eclat they chose me and 24 other belgian bloggers to participate in an awesome video project. I got my hair and makeup done and had a scene where I had to party and dance. It was the first time I was actually in front of the lens (other than my own) so surreal! I've always had a passion for

/ acting so this was kind of a taste of that! You can read the article

FASHION / MODERN MEETS MOROCCAN LOOKBOOK (Zalando Style Icons // Creative Content Icon)

This is my entry for the Zalando Style Icons // Creative Content Icon Award.

For this lookbook I was inspired by my rich and beautiful moroccan heritage, as I am half moroccan and half belgian. I mixed a lot of traditional items and looks such as baboushes, the caftan, silver jewelry, berber tattoos,...with modern items to create a different and interesting combination. The whole concept just came together and it's definitely a statement on connection and unity in a time where this is really needed. I teamed up with a designer with moroccan roots and added some pieces I borrowed from my mom. Tradition meets reinvention, patterns meet minimalism, cultures meet each other. I also chose this subject for my entry because I want to show that having different origins and cultures is a beautiful thing and it enriches our lives if we let it.

Show it and celebrate it

I did the photography, videography, editing, makeup, styling and art direction. So proud of the result!

makeup / Golden Bronze by Amel

Last sunday my talented friend Amel (find here Facebook page here) did my makeup. She went for a beautiful bronzed and glowy look. I put on so much self tanner all over my face - neck & shoulders to appear more bronzed haha! (I'm so pale). I love how the look turned out! the mink lashes, the photoshop like face, the glitter eyeshadow, everything!
If you want to know what products she used visit her page (see above) and her instagram here

makeup / stone fox

About 2 weeks ago NYX Cosmetics opened their first store in Belgium (Ghent). I went to the opening party and got some goodies to try out. I really wanted to put on this amazing lip color so I based my look around it. I love experimenting with makeup so I went for something different - I call it an editorial alien look haha!

Lips: NYX liquid suede in Stone Fox
Contour & Highlight: NYX wonder stick, Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Mascara: Loreal Telescopic

makeup / glam & gore

"How far would you go to look perfect?"
A question that inspired me to make this glam & gore makeup look.

I began with a signature Kim Kardashian look: a lot of contour & highlight, smokey eyes, perfect brows and full overdrawn lips.

For the 'gore' part I began drawing on and around the parts that I would like to change. I used a purple, black, brown and red eyeshadow to give the impression of bruises around the lines and added some fake blood.

make-up / pink spring

Last week the weather here in Belgium was amazing! The sun was shining and all the flowers were blooming - the perfect time for a spring look! I went for a simple pink & brown eye look with a soft eyeliner and a lot of mascara. Some contouring, blush, a lot of highlighter and two tone pink lips. I made the look a little more special by adding some silver & gold glitter on my cheeks and nose, mimicking freckles. This made the look a lot more festival and fairy like. The flower crown (H&M) really finished off the look.

Face: Catrice CC cream - Catrice concealer - Sleek face form contour, blush - The Balm Mary Lou Manizer highlighter
Eyebrows: ELF eyebrow kit
Eyes: Catrice & Urban Decay Naked - Benefit They're real mascara - Chanel eyeliner
Lips: Catrice lipstick & NYX lipgloss
Glitter: Essence liner

make-up / arabic smokey by Amel

Last weekend I got my make-up done by the amazing MUA Amel (Mel's face beat on Facebook). She created 2 looks on me and the was the second one: an Arabic smokey eye. I absolutely love her work! she's based in Belgium and only uses the best high-end products: Armani, Nars, Hourglass, MAC, Chanel,...Check her out! It was also the perfect opportunity to test out my new studio lighting and backdrop.

fashion / bjorn borg x upr

I love minimalism, black and street style. When UPR asked me if I wanted to receive a Bjorn Borg piece I didn't hesitate. I fell in love with this see-through mesh sweater: a perfect balance of sporty, urban and rock!. I styled it with a bandeau top, some black joggers and a rucksack. I put my hair in braids to accentuate the urban-sporty feel and went for a simple make-up look that focuses on the ombre lips. In photoshop I tried something different and added some doodling on my face to resemble tattoo art. I love it, do you?

Sweater: Bjorn Borg / Joggers: H&M / Rucksack: Boohoo
Lips: NYX matte lip cream - Monte Carlo & black eyeshadow

make-up / NYX belgium

NYX is coming to Belgium! the budget make-up brand is opening a store this spring / summer, location still unknown. They recently were so kind to send me some products to test out. This is look 1 of 3 I will make with what they sent me. An easy eye with 3 colors: shiny brown, gold and matte brown. I contoured the face and added some blush and highlighter. To make this look a little more special I used one of the matte lip creams that I adore! (as seen on Anna Nooshin!)

Eyeshadow base: NYX HD eyeshadow base / Foundation: Make-up Forever / Concealer: NYX wonder stick / Liquid Contour: NYX wonder stick / Bronzer: NYX butt naked palette / Highlight: NYX butt naked palette & NYX go-to palette / Liquid Highlight: Liquid Illuminator / Blush: NYX butt naked palette & NYX go-to palette / Brows: Catrice pencil / Eyeliner: Catrice / Mascara: Maybelline / Eyeshadow: NYX go-to palette (wanderlust) / Lips: NYX matte lip cream - Ibiza / Setting Spray: NYX Matte Finish

I have always been a fan of more extreme makeup. I love to experiment and think out of the box. I recently bought this beautiful H&M body and I really wanted to try out the box braids that we have been seeing everywhere on social media. I did a smoky eye with false lashes and some blue lips for that pop of colour. Added a fake septum piercing from Ebay to finish of this edgy look. What do you guys think? I really look like a (wannabe) badass, right?

Hi everyone! Last week I wanted to play with makeup and I was inspired by flawless, dewy skin. I used a beauty blender for my foundation, concealer and liquid contour. This made my skin really photoshop flawless! I added perfect brows, glitter eyeshadow, glitter eyeliner and a lot of highlighter. This look photographs amazingly and is perfect for a night out - you can always add false lashes.
